Driving Rogue is a new PC arcade racer from Gravity Works featuring roguelike elements and a unique card modifier system.
Players are tasked with navigating the game’s procedurally generated streets, racking up as many points as possible through drifting, chaining together near-misses and building combos. The further you get, the harder the course becomes, with a pulsating soundtrack helping speed the action along.
Upgrades and modifiers help rack up scores, while extensive car modification and customisation options support the street-racing aesthetic.
In a neat Balatro-like twist, players can also buy and combine special ability-giving cards with various functions, so finding the right build is just as important as nailing those apexes.
Its neon-tinged visuals give it an old-school Need For Speed Underground vibe, while four-player online co-operative play will ensure Driving Rogue has a healthy lifespan.
Driving Rogue is out now on Steam, priced at £9.99 / $9.99 (a 10% introductory discount is also available for a limited time).
