Google has confirmed that Googlebooks with removable keyboards are on the way. During its Android Dev Summit 2026 keynote last week, the company said its Chromebook successor "spans across large screen form factors from clamshells, convertibles, and soon detachables." That's all Google said, so there's no date, price, or specific device attached to it yet.
