Lineage II calls its ReLIVE servers a fresh start opportunity for new

A couple of weeks ago, Lineage II unveiled plans for yet another live server coming tomorrow, September 15th. And one of the questions that may have been on people’s minds is why another server for the MMO is opening up. Enter NCsoft’s devs in the west and in South Korea to provide a general explanation in video form.

Ultimately, the devs are responding to players’ calls for a new ReLIVE server, with the hope of creating a fresh start for returning players and a way for new players to “experience the fun of Lineage II without any pressure.” The devs further talk up features for the server that include a refreshed look for the central town of Giran, a return of some of the game’s original music, and the hope to see players relive the game as it felt when it first opened.

With the ReLIVE server’s opening, NCsoft is planning a wide assortment of events to celebrate the occasion, including login rewards, free teleports, bundles for hitting level milestones, and XP boosts among many others. All told, it looks as if the game is hoping ReLIVE will be a big bash for everyone.
