Marvel’s Spider-Man Actor Wants Deadpool To Appear In Next Game

The voice actor for Peter Parker in Insomniac Games’ Spider-Man games, Yuri Lowenthal, has voiced his desires to have the merc with the mouth, Deadpool, as a featured character in the third entry in the series. Lowenthal says he has been pushing the director for it to happen.

The report on Instagram on a Reel from Lowenthal, he shares he has been requesting an appearance from Deadpool in Spider-Man 3 and that he has been pleading his case to series creative director Brian Horton to make it happen.

The third installment in the Spider-Man franchise is expected to be the final chapter of the story of both Peter Parker and Miles Morales, and the game is likely several years away still, but still seemingly getting closer.

It was reported recently that Spider-Man 3 entered active development based off a listing from IMDB that shared production was ongoing. The development was rumored to be even beyond pre-production, and a bit deeper in the works than many could expect.

Hype for the Spider-Man franchise is at an all-time high, as on the cinematic side, Spider-Man: Brand New Day is still shattering box office records and closing in on the highest-grossing film in United States history.

Seeing Deadpool in Spider-Man 3 would certainly be a unique appearance. Especially if Insomniac can get Ryan Reynolds to reprise his role for the game. As many fans know, Deadpool is infamously mature rated, so it would be interesting to see if they tone down his antics a bit to try and keep the Teen rating by the ESRB or if Deadpool’s mouth causes a Mature rating.

It is nice to see Lowenthal campaigning so hard to see one of Marvel’s best characters make a grand appearance in the third and final installment in the franchise. Hopefully he can convince director Brian Horton enough to at least give him a cameo in the anticipated sequel.
