Two PlayStation classics are headed to the Nintendo Switch 2, and they're both going to be available as physical copies. Croc: Legend of the Gobbos and Croc 2: Kingdom of the Gobbos are both hits on the original PlayStation, and in 2027, they'll be headed to the Nintendo Switch 2 where Nintendo fans can finally get their hands on this absolute classic.
The pair of Croc games are a perfect encapsulation of gaming in the late 1990s. Platformers were king, and Croc took a lot of inspiration from some of the biggest platformers of the time to put together an adorable, adventure-filled game that is getting the remaster it deserves. The Nintendo Switch 2 editions come with a host of upgrades that increase their playability, and fans of the franchise can preorder them now.
Two Croc Titles Are Coming to the Nintendo Switch 2
The engine behind Croc: Legend of the Gobbos was originally pitched to Nintendo in the late 1990s. Nintendo passed on the engine, giving developer Argonaut Software (now known as Argonaut Games) a chance to turn the engine into an original property. The company designed Croc around the engine, and in 2027, it will be a perfect homage to gaming at the time.
Both Croc games star the titular crocodile as he looks to save his adopted family members (the Gobbos) from Baron Dante, an evil sorcerer. The games feature Croc exploring his valley, heading into new areas, and using textbook platforming elements to reach his destination and save his family.

The remastered editions add HD graphics with high resolution textures and models, updated analog controls, and retro display modes that enable players to choose between modern and retro graphics. If old platformers have one problem, it's the camera controls. Croc: Legend of the Gobbos' remastered edition fixes that with updated camera controls that make the gaming experience feel a lot smoother.
